The Java-based DPX Management Interface is a cross-platform application that is based on the Java Web Start technology. Beginning from Version 4.8.1, Catalogic DPX uses Oracle Java 17 or later which no longer supports the Java Web Start technology. For this reason, you have to install the Java Web Start runtime environment in addition to the Java Runtime Environment on your workstation.

Installing Karakun OpenWebStart for Microsoft Windows

Install the Java Web Start runtime environment that works with the latest Oracle Java releases. Catalogic Software has tested and recommends Karakun OpenWebStart to use the Java-based DPX Management Interface.

Go to the Kuraken OpenWebStart website (https://openwebstart.com) and download the latest OpenWebStart installer for Microsoft Windows x64. Open the Karakun OpenWebStart installer and follow the instructions to install the application on your workstation.
