Introduction to Backup Functions

In any organization, the need to back up data is paramount. Files, nodes, or entire enterprises can be unexpectedly lost or destroyed, and a well-conceived backup plan can save an organization significant time, money, and other resources. The primary purpose of the Backup function is to back up data from your Enterprise to media for future restoration. All backups are recorded in the DPX Catalog, enabling easy restores if and when those become necessary.
