Introduction to SharePoint Interface

DPX provides a fully integrated interface for backups and restores of Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001/2003/2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. This integration allows you to back up and restore online SharePoint Portal Server databases or Windows SharePoint Services databases in the same centralized, user friendly environment where you back up and restore all your other data. You simply point and click without bringing down the SharePoint Portal Server or leaving the management console.

Note. DPX also supports SharePoint backup and restore through DPX Block Data Protection, which is covered in Chapter 18: Microsoft SharePoint in the User's Guide. DPX Block Data Protection support for SharePoint is not covered in this chapter.

DPX supports many SharePoint versions.
