Considerations for Installation on Clusters
Note the following considerations before installing on clusters:
Install or upgrade cluster nodes one at a time.
Ensure the cluster name account in Active Directory can create computer objects. By default all computer objects are created in the Computers container in Active Directory. Work with your domain administrator to configure the cluster name account. See Cluster Name Account Permissions for Installing on Clusters.
Ensure you have Windows cluster-related permissions. See Permissions for Windows Clusters.
When installing or uninstalling, the last step is to reboot the node. Wait for the reboot to complete before proceeding to the next node in the cluster.
Do not change the cluster node group name after installing on a cluster. Doing so could interfere with future upgrades on that cluster. If you have changed the name of a cluster node group after installing a previous release, contact Catalogic Software Data Protection Technical Support before proceeding with an upgrade on that cluster.
Before starting an upgrade of a Windows cluster node, manually make the DPX cluster service offline by using the Windows Failover Cluster Manager.
Before installing, start Windows Cluster Service.
