Enabling the Amazon S3 Object Lock Legal Hold
Beginning from Version 4.8.1, you can enable the legal hold for the Amazon S3 Object Lock to protect your data in the Amazon S3 storage from being overwritten or deleted, even after the associated backup instance expired. By default, the legal hold option is disabled. Take the following steps to enable the Amazon S3 Object Lock legal hold:
Log in to the Java-based DPX Management Interface.
In the function tab bar, open the Catalog tab. Click Job Functions in the task pane so that you can see a list of catalogged job instances in the content pane.
In the content pane, right click the catalogged job instance for the Amazon S3 archiving in the list and click Edit.
In the edit pane, click either Yes or No in the Legal Hold, and click Apply.
