Running an Existing Backup Job
You can run an existing backup job immediately from the Monitor Jobs tab.
Note. It is strongly recommended that a CHKDSK operation be run on a client node before the first backup of that node. Any reported problems must be repaired prior to the base backup.
Note. A backup definition must be saved as a job before it can be run.
To run a backup job immediately:
Click Monitor Jobs on the Function Tab Bar, then click Select and Run Any Job. The Select and Run Any Job dialog box appears.
Select the job type from the Job Type pull-down menu.
Select the job name from the Job Name pull-down menu.
Click OK. The backup job begins.
Monitoring Backup Jobs
Select the Monitor tab to display the progress of the job. From the dedicated job monitor, you can monitor and control the job. Specifically, you can suspend a job, resume a job, cancel a job, or cancel a task by using the menus and task panel buttons. Note that network events can also be monitored in the form of SNMP traps by HP Open View.
