Collecting Job Logs by Using the Management Console

DPX provides several ways to generate log files. Beginning with DPX 4.4.3, log collection can be performed from the DPX management console (GUI), either in the Monitor Jobs Window or the Review Jobs window. To collect logs for a particular Completed, Failed, or Canceled job or for all jobs, do the following:

On the Monitor Jobs window or Review Jobs window, click on a specific Completed, Failed, or Canceled job. Right-click to display the context menu. Select Collect Logs or Collect All Job Logs.

• Collect Logs – Collects related logs for the selected job

• Collect All Job Logs – Collects all existing Master job logs

Log collection might take some time to complete. The result is a set of .tar files, which are placed in the logs directory of the product directory on the master server. For Collect All Job Logs, the output file is called Master-job-logs-only.tar.
