Monitoring Jobs
Work with the Job List to monitor a job.
Restrictions. You cannot monitor the following types of jobs:
Jobs with the status of either Waiting, Suspended, or Held.
A SYSTEM job cannot be monitored.
To monitor a job on the Job List, right-click the job name or icon to display a context menu, and click Monitor. Or, double-click the job name.
The monitoring report appears in the lower or right pane (depending on the selected “view” setting).
The job monitoring report has multiple tabs, which may include Summary, Source, Destination, Media, and Logs. The summary tab contains completion, duration, and task summary information. It also contains a progress bar (% Completed) in many cases. In some instances, such as NDMP, Image, and Block backups and restores, the progress bar may not appear.
The Log tab provides the list of messages that are produced by Catalogic DPX while the job runs. The final message is usually an indication of whether the job has completed or failed. Click on any message to invoke a dialog with additional message details.
Note. Use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to navigate among the messages.
