Adding a Key

To add a key to a keyring:

  1. Open the Configure Keyrings window by selecting Configure from the Function Tab bar and clicking Keyrings.

  2. Select the keyring to add the key to.

  3. Add a new key by doing one of the following:

    • Right-click the keyring icon to bring up the context menu and select Add Key.

    • From the menu tool bar, select Keyring > Add Key.

    • On the task panel select, click Add Key.

A new key appears under the keyring in the resource tree on the Configure Keyrings window. This becomes the applicable key for that keyring and all other keys in that keyring are retired. Of course, those retired but not deleted keys are still available for restore and migrate jobs.
