Deleting a Keyring

Before you can delete a keyring, you must remove all of its assigned keys. You can remove an assigned key by deleting it.

Warning! Key deletion should be carefully considered, as it effectively expunges all the backup instances that were encrypted with that key.

To delete a keyring from your Enterprise:

1. Open the Configure Keyrings window by selecting Configure from the Function Tab bar and clicking Keyrings.

2. Do one of the following:

   • Right-click the keyring name or icon to display a context menu. The selection is indicated by the selection check box next to the keyring folder icon. Then select Delete.

   • Select the keyring you want to delete and do one of the following:

     • From the menu bar, select Keyring > Delete Keyring.

     • On the task panel, click Delete Keyring.

   A proceed with keyring deletion message box appears.

3. Click Yes. The keyring disappears from the keyring resource tree.
