Prerequisites for Remote Seeding

Note the following considerations in cases where a server or volume will be backed up by more than one backup job:

• If you have any Block backup jobs already backing up the same volumes you want to include in seeding, those backup jobs automatically revert to a base backup on their next execution after the seeding attempt. Subsequent backups are incremental.

• If you have not yet run any Block backups of the volumes you plan to include in seeding, ensure you run the seeding backups first, then run your other non-seeding Block backups of those volumes.
