Adding a Standalone Exchange Node to an Existing DAG Node Group

  1. Use Exchange Management Console to add the standalone node to the DAG.

  2. Uninstall DPX on the standalone Exchange node if DPX was already installed.

  3. Re-install on the standalone node.

    • When prompted for a node group, specify the existing DAG node group.

    • When prompted for the IP address of the virtual node, use the IP address of the virtual node already in the DAG. For an IP-less DAG, use IP address 255.255.255.255.

Tip. If you don’t add the new node during installation, you can do it later on the management console. See Step 2. Add Exchange Nodes to a Node Group.

  1. Click the Configure tab, then click Enterprise. Expand the DAG node group to ensure the new node has been successfully added.
