Chapter 20: Microsoft SQL Server

On the DPX Block Data Protection source tree, SQL Server databases appear as disks. This topic describes considerations for Block backup and restore of these databases. SQL Server is supported for Windows clients.

For SQL Server 2012, DPX supports AlwaysOn Availability Groups for primary replica backup and recovery, as well as standalone SQL instances and traditional Windows clustered SQL instances.
