Chapter 2: HTML5-based DPX Management Interface

In most cases, you can operate Catalogic DPX by using the DPX Management Interfaces on your workstation. For example, you can log in to the DPX Management Interface, register Catalogic DPX with a production database and cloud storage, define a scheduled backup job, and restore one of the latest snapshots.

There are two types of the DPX Management Interfaces:

• The HTML5-based DPX Management Interface The HTML5-based DPX Management Interface can be used from a web browser on your workstation.

• The Java-based DPX Management Interface The Java-based DPX Management Interface is a cross-platform desktop application with a graphical interface. For details about the Java-based DPX Management Interface, see Chapter 3: Java-based DPX Management Interface.

Tip. Some features are available in only one of the two DPX Management Interfaces.
