Restoring a Recovery Database of Microsoft Exchange Server

You can restore Recovery Databases of Microsoft Exchange Server by using the Java-based DPX Management Interface. Take the following steps to restore a recovery database of Microsoft Exchange Server:

  1. On Exchange Management Console, create an Exchange Recovery database on an Exchange server in the Enterprise.

  2. Click the Restore tab then click Block.

  3. In the SOURCES pane select a single Exchange database for restore. Restoring multiple databases to a recovery database is not supported.

  4. In the DESTINATIONS pane browse the server where the recovery database was created and select the recovery database.

Tip. The recovery database is identified by “Recovery Database” in parentheses following the server name.

  1. Save and run the restore job.

  2. Use Exchange Management Console to recover data from the recovery database to the ultimate restore destination.
