Adding AML Media Pools and Volumes

To define a media pool, follow the steps in . The only difference is in the media pool naming convention.
For an AML/SDLC virtual tape library, the media pool name has three parts:
The media pool name begins with the letter sequence BEXI.
The middle part of the media pool name is the numeric part of the AML/SDLC scratch pool name. For example, if an AML scratch pool is named SP01, the media pool name should begin with BEXIC01, where C is one or more characters used to differentiate media pools that use the same AML or SDLC category as the scratch pool.
(Optional) If several media pools are associated with the same AML/SDLC scratch pool, you add a meaningful suffix to the media pool name. For example, if you want to subdivide scratch pool SP01 into three media pools, one for daily backups, one for weekly backups, and one for monthly backups, you can define the following three media pools:
BEXIC01_Daily
BEXIC01_Weekly
BEXIC01_Monthly
The media pool name is limited to 14 characters.
Media volumes that you add to the AML/SDLC scratch pool are automatically added to the defined media pool when you perform a backup.
