Permissions for Oracle: File Level, RMAN, All Platforms

• The bexdbins (UNIX) or Database configuration utility (Windows) requires Oracle administrative credentials on setup.

• RMAN backup and restore is initiated from an account with appropriate Oracle permissions.

• root is required on UNIX systems for all other DPX interaction.

• Local System Account or a Domain Administrator account is required on Windows.
