Updating SharePoint Control Node Configurations

Once you add a SharePoint control node to the Enterprise, either through installation, or after running the stsadm command, update the configuration of that node.

To update the configuration of a SharePoint control node:

  1. Click the Configure tab, click Enterprise, and then expand the node group to reveal the full list of nodes that belong to that node group.

  2. Click on the new SharePoint control node, a pop-up appears asking you to apply the SharePoint feature change. Click OK.

  3. After you review the information provided on the Edit Node pane for this SharePoint control node, click Apply.

  4. After you finish updating a SharePoint control node, you must configure that node’s failover settings. For more information about updating the failover configuration of a SharePoint control node see Configuring Automatic Failover Functionality for SharePoint Farms.
