• System volumes cannot be backed up using this technique. System volumes must be directly backed up by using block backup transfer, rather than the seeding process.

• When a source volume is on a GPT (GUID partition table) partition, the base backup instance may not persist the partition type if the source volume size is less than 2 TB.
