Silent installation on the Microsoft Windows Systems

You can install the Catalogic DPX Master Server or the Catalogic DPX Client on the Microsoft Windows systems from the Java-based DPX Management Interface. Alternatively, you can install either one by running an automation script file, winsilent.bat, on your Microsoft Windows systems. This method is sometimes referred to as “silent installation” because it requires fewer interactions by users during the product installation. The silent installer can be used with deployment tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Kaseya.

Restrictions. The following configurations are not supported:

• Microsoft SharePoint Servers and clusters

• Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and 2013 DAG

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 nodes in the Microsoft Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC).
