Defining Backups for NDMP Hardware Encryption
To define NDMP hardware encryption backups:
- On the Function Tab Bar, select Backup, then click NDMP. 
- Access the Set Encryption Options dialog box. This can be done in any of the following ways: - In the Task Panel of the management console, in the Other Tasks section, select Set Encryption Options. 
- In the menu at the top of the management console, select Backup. In the drop down menu, select Set Encryption Options. 
- In the Enterprise tree in the left pane, right-click the Enterprise icon. In the drop down menu, select Set Encryption Options. 
 
- On the Set Job Encryption Options dialog, note the following fields: - Network Encryption - This option is set to No. Yes is disabled since it is not applicable to the NDMP backup type. 
- Encrypt Data - The default is No Data Encryption. To proceed with hardware encryption, select from the pull-down menu Encrypt Data at the device server (primary tape only). 
 
- After you select Encrypt Data at the device server (primary tape only), the following fields appear in the dialog: - Encryption Type - Hardware is automatically selected. Software is disabled since it is not applicable to the NDMP backup type. 
- Encrypt Key Ring Name - Select a keyring from the pull-down menu. If a keyring is not displayed, you must create one. See Configuring Keyrings. 
 
- Click OK.
