Running an NDMP Backup with Hardware Encryption

Running an NDMP backup with hardware encryption is similar to running any other backup job. See NDMP Backup and Restore.

The backup procedure is similar to other backup jobs, with exception of the first step:

1. On the management console Function Tab Bar, select Backup, then click NDMP.

2. In the Sources pane, expand the display and select resources for backup.

3. In the Destinations pane, expand the display and select a backup destination.

4. In the Task Panel, select Save Backup Job. The Save Job dialog box appears. Name the job and select OK.

5. In the Task Panel, select Run or Run and Monitor. A dialog box prompts for a retention period. Enter a retention period in days or accept the default. Click OK.
