Archive Logging
The executable db2uext2 controls the backup of archive logs by using the database’s configuration settings. db2uext2 is run automatically from DB2. To execute it manually from the UDB interface, issue the command:
ARCHIVE LOG FOR DATABASE <databasename>
Note that for autoarchiving, you must run the LOGARMETH1 configuration command. See Configuration of DB2 Interface.
Also, adjust the following database configuration settings to fine-tune the frequency with which DB2 autoarchives its logs: LOGFILSIZ, LOGPRIMARY, and LOGSECOND.
