Permissions for OES2 Linux

  • root account is required for all Linux native file system access.

  • eDirectory administrative account with access to local file systems, devices, and all installed applications is required. This credential is passed directly to Micro Focus's TSA interface for access to system resources.

  • The eDirectory account used must be LUM enabled. The account must have the admin backup and restore role-based service (RBS) assigned. Note that this role is not the default for any administrative account and must be set manually.

  • Shared cluster storage requires NSS cluster pools for backup through the TSA interface.
