Updating the License Key

There are three methods to update the license key. Typically, you should update the license from the HTML5-based DPX Management Interface. But you will not be able to log in to it if the current license is invalid. In this case, you have to update the license from the Linux shell of the DPX Master Server.

Tip. It is advised to copy and paste the license key. If you have to type it manually, be sure that all letters in the key are uppercase, except “O” or “I” that are not being used. There are no blanks, spaces, carriage returns, or line feeds in the key. Edit license key files by using a text editor such as vi for Linux or Microsoft Notepad for Microsoft Windows. Do not edit license key files from a different operating system or the editor will make line ending characters that are incompatible with your operating system. Do not use word processors such as Microsoft Word.
