Scheduling a SnapVault Management Backup: Overview

For a detailed description of backup scheduling, see Specifying a Schedule for the Backup Job in the Reference Guide. For SnapVault Management backups, the backup type (base, incremental, or differential) is irrelevant. For any volume backed up in a SnapVault Management job, the initial backup is a base backup, and all subsequent backups are incremental; that is, only changed blocks are transferred. Note that an instance of a SnapVault Management backup (base or incremental) is a virtual image of the entire source volume at a particular point-in-time.

Tip. You can save a Block backup definition and manually run the job without defining a schedule by clicking Run.
