DPX SharePoint Object Recovery
DPX Block Data Protection for SharePoint also offers a separately licensable feature: DPX SharePoint Object Recovery. This feature utilizes Instant Access to easily recover SharePoint items from dismounted or backed-up SharePoint databases. Additionally, SPOR provides copy, search, and analysis functionality for individual items, including documents, lists, libraries, folders, or entire SharePoint sites.
DPX SharePoint Object Recovery lets administrators find, recover, and restore SharePoint server objects. SPOR reads content database backups directly, letting system administrators quickly locate individual items for restoration, and eliminating the need for a stand-by recovery server.
SPOR can perform a direct restore to any SharePoint server, and there are no same-server constraints on any restore activities. SPOR can restore objects to any Windows-supported file system as well.
SPOR reads the backed-up content database files (.MDF
, .NDF
, and .LDF
) and makes that data available through various recovery mechanisms. You can read or export one or more items to a selected Windows workstation/server using Instant Access volumes, or perform a full restore through the management console.
