Prerequisites for Adding VMware vCenters or Proxy Servers to the Enterprise
Master server
The master server must run a version of Catalogic DPX that supports VMware backup and recovery.
Virtualization proxy server
To enable a node as a virtualization proxy server, Catalogic DPX must be installed with the Virtualization Proxy Server setup type, which installs proxy server components.
Virtualization proxy servers are supported on Windows or Linux 64-bit machines, which can be physical or virtual.
Proxy server capability can be added to an existing client.
VMware vCenter version
VMware vCenter must be running a supported version of VMware vSphere.
VMware vCenter privileges
The vCenter user must have administrator privileges or specific minimum required privileges.
