Editing a Catalog Restore

You can modify the Catalog restore job by editing or deleting the Restore Volume, editing the Restore Device, or adding another Restore Volume or Restore Device. Then you can select the new media volume and/or new device.

To edit a restore volume:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click Restore Volumes name or icon to display a context menu and select Edit.

    • From the menu bar, select Catalog > Edit Restore Volume.

    • On the task panel, click Edit Restore Volume.

    The Define Source Volume dialog box appears.

  2. Modify the Volume Serial Number or Partition Number fields if needed.

  3. Click OK.

Note. You can only edit Restore Volumes you have added.

To delete a restore volume:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click Restore Volumes name or icon to display a context menu. Then click Delete.

    • From the menu bar, select Catalog > Delete Restore Volume.

    • On the task panel, click Delete Restore Volume.

Note. You can only delete Restore Volumes you have added.

To edit a restore device:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click Device name or icon to display a context menu and select Edit.

    • From the menu bar, select Catalog > Edit Restore Device.

    • On the task panel, click Edit Specified Restore Device.

    The Specify Restore Device dialog box appears.

  2. Modify the Resolvable Node Name or IP Address field or the Device ID field if needed.

  3. Click OK.

Note. You can only edit Restore Devices that you have added in the Catalog Restore window.
