Displaying a Job Definition

Work with the Job List to view a job definition.

To view a job definition on the Job List, right-click the job name or icon to display a context menu, and click Display Job Definition.

An informative multi-tabbed dialog box appears providing information about the job definition, including source, destination, options, and schedule.

Using the Job Definition Dialog to Open a Job Definition

The Go To Job Definition button at the bottom of the Job Definition dialog does the following:

• It opens the relevant Backup, Catalog, Manage Tapes, or Restore window in the management console.

• On that window, it then opens the existing job definition you had requested to view in the Monitor Jobs window.

From the newly opened window, you can perform all the same functions just as if you had opened the window and opened the job definition in the usual way.
