Using a Command-line Script to Protect a NetApp Snapshot

Catalogic DPX provides a command line interface to enable defining and running various job types, including backups and restores. This topic describes how to use the command line interface bex.exe to automate the creation of an NDMP backup definition. The backup job is designed to protect a specific Snapshot within a NetApp volume by backing up the Snapshot to a tape or disk device.
