Enabling Amazon S3 Object Lock
As mentioned, you can archive Block Backups and Agentless Backups for VMware and store these archives in Amazon S3 or supported generic cloud storage. Or, you can store the NDMP backups to the cloud storage.
Enable Amazon S3 Object Lock and prevent your archive data in the cloud storage from being deleted or overwritten. Use Amazon S3 Object Lock to make your archive data the write-once-read-many (WORM) model. Beginning from Version 4.8.1, you can also use the legal hold for cataloged job instances that use the Amazon S3 Object Lock.
