Adding Microsoft Hyper-V Nodes to Catalogic DPX

As mentioned, you can register either a host or cluster of Microsoft Hyper-V with Catalogic DPX, and both the host and cluster are managed as a node. Take the following steps to register the Microsoft Hyper-V node with Catalogic DPX:

  1. Log in to the HTML5-based DPX Management Interface. From the navigation pane, go to Nodes.

  2. In the Nodes page, click Add Node to open the Add Node modal window.

  3. Select Hyper-V Host for the Microsoft Hyper-V Host or Hyper-V Cluster for the Microsoft Hyper-V Cluster.

  4. Enter the following information for the Basic Parameters, and click Save:

    • A name for the group in the Group Name field.

    • A name for the Hyper-V Node in the Node Name field.

    • Enter a host name or IP address in the Resolvable Node Name or IP Address field.

    • Select HYPERV for the access method from the Access Method selection box.

    • Enter the port number in the Port No field. The default is 50881. If the port was changed during the Hyper-V Agent installation, enter that port number in the Port No field.

    • Enter the authorization key in the Password field that was provided during the Hyper-V Agent installation on the Hyper-V Host.

Ensure that the Microsoft Hyper-V node is listed in the Nodes page of the HTML5-based DPX Management Interface.
