Deleting a Media Pool
To delete a media pool, first make sure it is empty; that is, it does not contain any media volumes.
Warning! Make sure the media pool you delete is not specified in any backup definition. This is especially important for scheduled backups because absence of a media pool specified in a backup definition will cause the backup to fail.
To delete an existing media pool definition:
Click the Configure tab on the Function Tab bar of the window, then click Media.
Do one of the following:
Right-click the media pool name or icon to display a context menu. The selection is indicated by the selection check box next to the media pool icon, and the Edit Media Pool dialog for that media pool appears in the right pane of the Configure Media window. Then select Delete.
In the left pane, select the media pool you want to delete and do one of the following:
From the menu bar, select Media > Delete Media Pool.
On the task panel, click Delete Media Pool.
A message box prompts you to confirm the deletion.
Select Yes in the message box. The media pool disappears from the left pane, and its dialog disappears from the right pane.
