Editing a Media Pool
To check the status of a media pool or edit a media pool definition:
Click the Configure tab on the Function Tab bar of the window, then click Media.
Open the Edit Media Pool dialog in the right pane by doing one of the following:
Right-click the media pool name or icon to display a context menu. The selection is indicated by the selection check box next to the media pool icon. Then select Edit.
In the left pane, select the media pool you want to edit and do one of the following:
From the menu bar, select Media > Edit Media Pool.
On the task panel, click Edit Media Pool.
The Edit Media Pool dialog appears in the right pane.
Revise the Minimum Number Free Volumes, Comment, and Alternate Tape Pool fields as needed. For a description of these fields, see Adding a Media Pool.
You cannot use the Edit Media Pool dialog to change the Media Pool Name or Media Type fields. To change these fields, you must delete the original pool and then add a new pool. Keep in mind that all volumes in a pool must be of the same type (for example, 4 mm).
Select Apply on the task menu at the top right of the right pane. If you are unable to see the task menu, resize the right pane.
Note. You can use Edit Media Pool to check the status of a pool. Statistics concerning media resources in the pool and the disposition of tapes in the pool are provided in the Edit Media Pool dialog.
