Quick Overview of the Migrate Function
The following table contains a brief overview of the steps for migrating data:

1. | Determine what source data needs to be migrated. | |
2. | Open the Migrate window. | |
2. | Make a determination on how to select source data – by media or by job. | |
3. | Select the media volumes to migrate from the Media Pools selection space in the source pane, or select the backup job instances to migrate from the Backup Jobs selection space in the source pane. | |
4. | If selecting source data by media, specify a source device in the Device Clusters selection space in the source pane. | |
5. | Select a compatible destination media pool in the Media Pools selection space in the destination pane. | |
6. | Select a compatible destination device cluster in the Device Clusters selection space in the destination pane. | |
7. | Revise source options, destination options, encryption options, and job notification options as needed. | |
8. | Optionally schedule a job to run as often as needed. | |
9. | Save the job. | |
10. | Run the job. |
