Adding an AML/SDLC Device

To add a device to an AML/SDLC virtual tape library, follow the steps in Adding a Tape Library Device. The only differences when adding an AML/SDLC device are the following:

• On the Add Device window, the Device Name must be selected from the menu of AML/SDLC device names. The device names are pre-defined in the tape library controller.

• On the Add Device window, the Device Number field is inactive.
