Server Farms

A SharePoint Portal 2003 infrastructure may reside on a single server or on several servers. When a SharePoint Portal 2003 infrastructure is spread over a number of servers, the collection of servers is a server farm. Backing up a server farm of any size is as easy as backing up any collection of nodes in DPX.

Tip. Configure all of the nodes in your Enterprise’s SharePoint infrastructure in one node group and select that node group to back up. See Chapter 11: Configuring the Enterprise.
