Pre-Installation Instructions
Before installing the DPX Oracle interface, the following should be done:
The master server should be installed and an Enterprise should be set up.
The device and media pools that will be used for Oracle should be set up using the management console.
You should confirm that the Oracle node is part of the Enterprise. If it is not, add it.
If Oracle is running, it should be stopped before installing the DPX Oracle interface. If this is not feasible, contact Catalogic Software Data Protection Technical Support.
Note. On supported Windows clusters, Oracle should be installed on a shared volume.
