Quick Overview of Backup Functions

The following table contains a brief overview of the steps for backing up data:

Determine what data needs to be backed up.

Determine which backup mode to use.

Open the appropriate Backup window.

4.

Select data to back up from the source tree in the source pane on the Backup window.

5.

Accept the default destination or specify a destination.

6.

Revise source options, destination options, encryption options, and job notification options as needed.

7.

Specify and assign file exclusion rules as needed.

8.

Optionally schedule a job to run as often as needed.

9.

Save the job.

10.

Run the job.
