Adding, Editing, or Deleting VMware nodes to the Enterprise from the HTML5-based DPX Management Inte

You can register VMware vCenters or VMware ESXi servers to the Enterprise from either DPX Management Interface. Take the following steps on the HTML5-based DPX Management Interface to add a VMware node to the Enterprise:

  1. Log in to the HTML5-based DPX Management Interface. From the navigation pane, open Nodes.

  2. Click Add Node to open the Add Node dialog.

  3. In the Add Node dialog, select the options or enter the required values in the following fields:

    Type

    Select VMware vCenter/ESXi.

    Node Name

    Enter a name of the node.

    Resolvable Host Name or IP Address

    Enter the host name or the IPv4 address of the VMware vCenter or VMware ESXi server. Ensure that Catalogic DPX can resolve it.

    Group Name

    Select the node group in which you want to add the VMware node.

    Port No.

    Enter the port number so that Catalogic DPX can access the VMware vCenter or VMware ESXi server. The default value is 443.

    Username

    Enter the username of the VMware vCenter or VMware ESXi server.

    Password

    Enter the password of the VMware vCenter or VMware ESXi server.

Click Save.

Ensure that you can see the VMware node in the Nodes page.

To edit or delete nodes, go to Nodes from the navigatino pane, find the item that you want to edit or delete in the node list, and click Edit or Delete.
