Editing a Tape Library
To check the status of a tape library or edit a tape library definition:
Click Configure on the Function Tab bar of the window, then click Devices.
Open the Edit Tape Library dialog in the right pane by doing one of the following:
Right-click the tape library name or icon to display a context menu. The selection is indicated by the selection check box next to the tape library icon, and the Edit Tape Library dialog appears in the right pane. Then select Edit.
Select the tape library you want to edit in the device resource tree (left pane) and do one of the following:
From the menu bar, select Tape Library > Edit Tape Library.
On the task panel, click Edit Tape Library.
The Edit Tape Library dialog appears.
Optionally, change the tape library to or from a SAN tape library if there are no devices presently assigned to it. Revise the active fields as needed. For a description of these fields, see Adding a Tape Library.
Select Apply on the task menu at the top right of the right pane. If you are unable to see the task menu, resize the right pane.
Note. You cannot use the Edit function to change the inactive fields. These include Tape Library Name, Tape Library Type, and Device Type. To change these fields, you must delete the original tape library then add a new one.
