Editing a Device Cluster
To check the status of a device cluster or edit a device cluster definition:
Click Configure on the Function Tab bar of the window, then click Devices.
Open the Edit Device Cluster dialog in the right pane by doing one of the following:
Right-click the device cluster name or icon to display a context menu. The selection check box indicates the selected media pool, and the Edit Device Cluster dialog appears in the right pane. Then select Edit.
In the device resource tree (left pane), select the device cluster you want to edit and do one of the following:.
From the menu bar, select Device > Edit Device Cluster.
On the task panel, click Edit Device Cluster.
Tip. If you select Edit Device Cluster from the menu bar or click Edit Device Cluster without a device cluster selected, an alert dialog appears asking you to select a device cluster.
The Edit Device Cluster dialog appears.
Change the Device Cluster to or from a SAN Device Cluster if there are no devices presently assigned to it or revise the Comment field as needed.
Select Apply on the task menu at the top right of the right pane. If you are unable to see the task menu, resize the right pane.
Note. The Device Cluster Name or Device Type fields cannot be edited. To change these fields, delete the original cluster, then add a new cluster. This is necessary when upgrading to a new device type because all devices in a cluster must use the same media type (for example, DLT).
