The BEXCollect Utility

DPX provides a logs collection utility, BEXcollect, for diagnostic purposes. The utility gathers informational files related to a specific job. If you contact Catalogic Software Data Protection Technical Support, you may be asked to run the utility and send the results for analysis.

The utility is run from the command line of the master server. (To run BEXCollect from the Management Console, see Collecting Job Logs by Using the Management Console)

Tip. The recommended method for accessing the command prompt is as follows:

• On Windows, access the command prompt through the program group (Start > Programs > DPX > DPX Command Prompt).

• On Linux, navigate to cd /opt/DPX/bin, then type . ./bexenv.
