Database Level Restore for Exchange 2003/2007

If you performed a database level Exchange 2003/2007 backup, you can restore the entire Exchange 2003/2007 database, you can restore individual storage groups, or you can select individual stores within a storage group:

When restoring Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 at the database level, Exchange services are not halted. Instead, DPX automatically dismounts the appropriate storage group, performs the restore, then remounts the storage group.
