Elements of the Configure Defaults Window

As in all resource trees, there is a selection indicator. However, in this window, you can not select the Enterprise or the option types.

  • Defaults Resource Tree

The Defaults Resource Tree displays the hierarchical structure of defaults:

      \+ Enterprise

      	\+ Default Option Type

      		\+ Default Option

Default Option Subset (for Backup Destination Options only)

You can drill down to the Default Option level by clicking the plus to the left of a resource icon. Initially, nothing is selected. For Backup Destinations, you can drill down one additional level to Default Option Subset because there are three backup variants—base, incremental, and differential.

Unlike other resource trees, in this resource tree, you can only select the lowest level resource. When you select a resource, the edit dialog for that resource appears in a pane on the right side of the Configure Defaults window and the selection is indicated by the selection check box next to the selected resource icon.

  • Configure Defaults: Menu Bar The Configure Defaults menu bar options are common to most function windows (see Common Menu Bar Options in the User's Guide).

  • Configure Defaults: Task Panel The Configure Defaults task panel buttons are described in the topics that follow.
