Initial Configuration of the SharePoint Virtual Node

When launching DPX for the first time after installation, the first task is to complete the configuration of the virtual node.

To complete the configuration the virtual node:

  1. Launch the DPX application.

  2. Click the Configure tab, then click Enterprise.

  3. Expand the new SharePoint_Group virtual node group icon, then expand the new SharePoint virtual node icon.

Note. If you need to reconfigure a virtual node, its icon will appear with an overlay that indicates its unconfigured status.

  1. The Edit Node pane appears. Verify the name of this virtual node, click Apply.

Note. If the name of this node exceeds 30 characters, the backups could fail. DPX will present a warning dialog box in this scenario: click Change Name to go back to the previous window and proceed to change the name, or click No to go back to the previous window and click Apply again.
