Considerations for Troubleshooting the Snapshot Verification Utility

• If the utility fails to map Snapshots, especially between subsequent verification attempts, increase the INTERVAL parameter. Windows needs more time to unmap the Snapshot and prepare the same drive letter for the mapping of the next Snapshot.

• If the utility cannot map a Snapshot, check to see if the Removable Storage service is running. If it is, stop and disable it. Then run the Snapshot Verification Utility again.

• If the utility still fails to map a Snapshot after you’ve stopped and disabled the Removable Storage service, restart the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator service. Then run the Snapshot Verification Utility again.
