Resolving Minor Issues Involving Catalog Restore Locking the Management Console from Login

Sometimes the master server is left with locking files that prevent the system from functioning and the management console from logging in. If this occurs, try the following procedure:

  1. Shut down the master server cmagent process.

  2. Navigate to the bin directory where the master server was installed. Locate any files that end in *.lok or *.dis. Delete all of those files.

  3. Navigate to the db directory where the master server was installed. Locate a file named ‘ssckpt.db’ and delete this file.

  4. Start the master server cmagent.

This clears out any anomalous conditions and enables the master server and management console to come up.
