Selecting Block Restore Destinations
Take the following steps to select the Block Restore destination:
On the restore destination tree, drill down to view the contents of a volume. Note that drilling down in the restore destination tree is not the same as selecting a destination. That is, you may be able to expand the tree but not necessarily select all levels that are viewable.
Note. For a Windows Server 2012 and a Windows Server 2012 R2 deduplicated NTFS volume, your destination selection is restricted to nodes running Windows Server 2012. Note that a Windows Server 2012 R2 deduplicated NTFS volume must be restored on a Windows Server 2012 R2 node. Similar restrictions may apply to Windows Server 2016 or later. If restoring to an open system, specify a name of a destination directory, which may or may not exist, as described in the procedure below.
